Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) also known as “visitor visa” or “entry visa” is a document that is placed in your passport and used to enter Canada. Individuals from certain countries must apply for TRV before travelling to Canada.
Visas are usually, but not always, issued for a period of ten years. Visitors can stay in Canada for up to six months at a time. If you wish to stay longer, you must apply for an extension of your visitor status.
